Peter Lauer

The winery is today mostly run by junior Florian Lauer, who has increased the quality of the wines with each passing vintage. The wines are of course fermented spontaneously and are brought up mostly in wooden fuders (large barrels). Yields at this estate are almost ridicously low (around 20 hl/ha in 2010!) which certainly contributes to the depth and concentration of these wines. Stylistically, the wines range from dry over "feinherb" to sweet but the quality is in each case impeccable. Unfortunately, we could only obtain tiny amounts from the current vintage 2010 - hence if you are interested we recommend to act fast as the wines may be sold out very soon!
